Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate contact and equipment information
  • Ensuring equipment ownership and authorization for service
  • Reviewing and approving repair estimates
  • Inspecting serviced equipment upon return
  • Using equipment only within manufacturer recommendations and applicable training standards

Scuba equipment should only be used by properly trained and certified individuals.


Service Estimates & Authorization

Estimates provided by ScubaRepair.com are based on initial inspection and may change if additional issues are discovered during service.

By authorizing service, the customer agrees to payment for approved labor, parts, diagnostics, shipping, and applicable fees.

ScubaRepair.com reserves the right to decline service on equipment deemed unsafe, excessively damaged, altered, or outside manufacturer support standards.


Turnaround Times

Estimated service timelines are provided as general approximations and are not guaranteed.

Service completion times may vary due to:

  • Parts availability
  • Manufacturer delays
  • Equipment condition
  • Seasonal workload
  • Shipping carrier delays

ScubaRepair.com is not responsible for delays outside of its reasonable control.


Shipping & Risk of Loss

Customers shipping equipment to ScubaRepair.com do so at their own risk.

We strongly recommend using insured and trackable shipping methods. ScubaRepair.com is not responsible for items lost, stolen, or damaged during inbound or outbound shipping transit.

Risk of loss transfers to the customer once items are delivered to the shipping carrier for return shipment.


Payment Terms

Payment is due prior to return shipment or pickup unless otherwise agreed in writing.

ScubaRepair.com reserves the right to withhold release of equipment until balances are paid in full.

Accepted payment methods may include credit cards, debit cards, electronic payments, financing providers, or other approved methods.


Abandoned Equipment

Equipment left unclaimed for more than 90 days after notification of completed service may be considered abandoned property.

ScubaRepair.com reserves the right, where permitted by law, to dispose of, recycle, or resell abandoned equipment to recover unpaid balances, storage fees, or incurred costs.


Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ScubaRepair.com shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from:

  • Shipping damage or carrier delays

The customer assumes all risks associated with scuba diving and the use of life-support equipment.
